It's almost spring and time to start planning your garden!

The Thrifted Planter

Spring is almost here and it's time to start thinking about your garden and also your houseplants! Spring is a big time in your plant's life because they are getting the signals to start pushing out new growth. Helping your plants through this new growth phase will look different but also the same for houseplants and indoor plants.

Here's what you need to start doing:

  1. Pruning the 3 D's! Cut off any dead, damaged, or diseased foliage and stems.
  2. Begin a fertilizer routine. For garden plants that can be spreading a granular fertilizer around the drip line of your plants, laying down a layer of compost, or watering them in with a liquid fertilizer.
  3. Get a more consistent watering schedule going. Once your plants start waking up they will be taking up more moisture from the soil so be prepared to meet their needs.
